John Fuller charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed John Fuller the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. John Fuller kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, Lynton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Lonsdale to maneuver through the defense. Kristopher Sawyer's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Rodd Auty on his right side and into the goal. 14 minutes into the game it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Morgan during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Crawley's Frank Morgan got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Zackary Gray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. John Fuller got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gav Shipton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Porter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodd Auty having to make a save. With a little luck, Lynton's Rodd Auty got control of the ball when Gav Shipton tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Jonny Noble managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lynton's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonny Noble was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alastair Faith breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Byron Purvis kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zackary Gray to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodd Auty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damian Hurst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gav Shipton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Gav Shipton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crawley's supporters rose to their feet, but Gav Shipton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodd Auty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gav Shipton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Auty having to interfere. Frank Morgan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Rodd Auty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lynton's Rodd Auty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav Shipton in the 70th minute of play. Gav Shipton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rodd Auty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Crawley's Gav Shipton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodd Auty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When Gav Shipton came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Crawley fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gav Shipton couldn't finish the play. Lynton's Rodd Auty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gav Shipton in the 80th minute of play. Gav Shipton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodd Auty having to interfere. Rodd Auty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Porter, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Crawley's Gav Shipton made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodd Auty was left in no man's land by his defense there! Crawley's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
