Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Den Bramble started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Den Bramble kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harvey Bagshaw in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rory Wilberforce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rory Wilberforce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nigel Bland in the 6th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Ashbourne FC's Harvey Bagshaw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rory Wilberforce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Harvey Bagshaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rory Wilberforce having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Harvey Bagshaw put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rory Wilberforce. With a little luck, Ashbourne FC's Alf Fletcher got control of the ball when CJ Mayall tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harvey Bagshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. CJ Mayall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alf Fletcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alf Fletcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Den Bramble in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Mitch Merrill was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Bedford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ashbourne FC the free kick. In the 35th match minute, AFC Bedford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Merrill to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harvey Bagshaw was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ashbourne FC's Nigel Bland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rory Wilberforce narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dane Downes during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 67 minutes into the match, AFC Bedford's goal looked a bit too open when Harvey Bagshaw came free, but Rory Wilberforce reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alf Fletcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from CJ Mayall in the 84th minute of the match. Nigel Bland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Rory Wilberforce made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Bedford's zone, Harvey Bagshaw stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rory Wilberforce came out of the goal and Harvey Bagshaw tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce got control of the ball when Nigel Bland tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. AFC Bedford had won after a very even match.
