Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Den Bramble started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Ozzy Shephard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Wilberforce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th match minute, AFC Bedford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Merrill to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute, Ozzy Shephard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to AFC Bedford getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jeffrey Short hit a great ball. Rory Wilberforce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ozzy Shephard, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. After having played for 15 minutes, Den Bramble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Bedford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Den Bramble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Ozzy Shephard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rory Wilberforce. AFC Bedford's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ozzy Shephard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rory Wilberforce didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ozzy Shephard went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 40thth minute of the game Ozzy Shephard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Bedford's Rory Wilberforce was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. CJ Mayall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The AFC Bedford players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. High Wycombe FC were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Verne Blackhurst to strike the kick off in the second half. High Wycombe FC's Ozzy Shephard got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verne Blackhurst in the 54th minute of play forced AFC Bedford's goalkeeper Rory Wilberforce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute CJ Mayall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zane Payne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rory Wilberforce made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Ozzy Shephard sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, AFC Bedford's goalkeeper Rory Wilberforce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ozzy Shephard. After 66th play minutes Verne Blackhurst shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Rory Wilberforce and just under the crossbar into goal. If Ozzy Shephard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 75 minutes, Verne Blackhurst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. High Wycombe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Verne Blackhurst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verne Blackhurst in the 79th minute of play forced AFC Bedford's goalkeeper Rory Wilberforce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of High Wycombe FC booed when AFC Bedford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffrey Short didn't get a good kick on the ball. High Wycombe FC's Verne Blackhurst got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. AFC Bedford's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Verne Blackhurst 83 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. Michael Holt hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes High Wycombe FC got a freekick which was hit by Ozzy Shephard. Den Bramble received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Zane Payne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. High Wycombe FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
