Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Carlton Dryden took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlton Dryden in the 3rd minute of play forced Blyth FC's goalkeeper Eric Riad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Riad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Sherwood in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chaz Hotte in the 18th minute of play forced Altrincham City's goalkeeper CJ Trunks to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes Altrincham City got a freekick which was hit by Gaz Varley. If Sidney Cousins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stew Sherwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sidney Cousins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without CJ Trunks having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 33rd minute when Chaz Hotte elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Chaz Hotte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but CJ Trunks was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. CJ Trunks didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chaz Hotte to strike the kick off in the second half. Sidney Cousins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without CJ Trunks having to interfere. Thom Parry lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Altrincham City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Altrincham City:s CJ Trunks showed great skill when he stopped Kirk Lane:s penalty. Stew Sherwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eric Riad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stew Sherwood in the 62nd minute. Abraham Slater fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eric Riad having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Blyth FC's zone, Stew Sherwood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Riad came out of the goal and Stew Sherwood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidney Cousins struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. CJ Trunks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blyth FC. Chaz Hotte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. CJ Trunks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Altrincham City booed when Blyth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Will Willetts didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Blyth FC had won after a very even match.
