Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eric Păvăloae started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Eric Păvăloae got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Cai Yue Guang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eric Păvăloae's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ninjas in Pyjamas were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rareș Tatulici took the corner. Eric Păvăloae might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Păvăloae ran back to his position shaking his head. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cai Yue Guang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Camilo Gisbert charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Camilo Gisbert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Păvăloae came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cai Yue Guang made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 67th minute. Camilo Gisbert made in the 69th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Cai Yue Guang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 76th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 78 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. Andrei Cosor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Cai Yue Guang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cai Yue Guang. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. The Ninjas in Pyjamas support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
