Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Eric Varley kicked off to start the match. Casey Byfield could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Martyn Dobby made a huge save. Eric Varley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvester Ely having to interfere. If Sol Nicoll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Varley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martyn Dobby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sol Nicoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Casey Byfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Woodlesford booed when Bristol Fishponds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scott Forbes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Sol Nicoll managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woodlesford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sol Nicoll was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Woodlesford's Silvester Ely played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Varley in the 28th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Varley in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvester Ely prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bristol Fishponds's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Sol Nicoll 34 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Casey Byfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martyn Dobby having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Sol Nicoll notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Bristol Fishponds's Martyn Dobby. Martyn Dobby was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Casey Byfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Casey Byfield dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Martyn Dobby, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sol Nicoll made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Woodlesford got a freekick which was hit by CJ Lincoln. In the 58th minute, Woodlesford's Alf Donnelly seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alf Donnelly the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Woodlesford protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alf Donnelly had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 58 minutes into the game, one of Woodlesford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 64th minute, Casey Byfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Woodlesford's Casey Byfield got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Eric Varley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dominic Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dominic Martin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvester Ely came out and tried to block the shot, but Dominic Martin slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 76th minute. When Bristol Fishponds's Eric Varley in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Woodlesford's goalie prevented a goal. After 91 played minutes Woodlesford got a freekick which was hit by Karl Folan. After recieving a nice pass, Bristol Fishponds's Perry Dunning tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dominic Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jay Allwright's late challenge caught a Woodlesford's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jay Allwright helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bristol Fishponds getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Jay Allwright hit a great ball. Bristol Fishponds's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
