Gary Hughes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Barnstaple United getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Gary Mallaby hit a great ball. In the last second Dean Hayes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Luke Reynolds in the 48thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Frost in the 52nd minute of play forced Barnstaple United's goalkeeper Dean Hayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Hayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Frost, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 57 minutes into the game, Scott Duffy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnstaple United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burnham on Crouch the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garry Dearden couldn't finish the play. Scott Duffy was shown his second yellow card after 75 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Burnham on Crouch booed when Barnstaple United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scott Duffy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Burnham on Crouch's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
