Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Purfleet FC's Russell Perryman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thom Perkins in the 3rd minute of play. Max Moss's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rupert Cooper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. If Shane Goodwin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thom Perkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Moss struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Rupert Cooper didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purfleet FC. Thom Perkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glyn Carragher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 31st minute, Glyn Carragher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Purfleet FC booed when Westbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timothy Abbotts didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Westbourne's goalkeeper Rupert Cooper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Max Moss. The crowd rose to their feet as Purfleet FC's Glyn Carragher slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rupert Cooper. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. Cliff Mortimer scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Russell Perryman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glyn Carragher to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glyn Carragher in the 53rd minute of play forced Westbourne's goalkeeper Rupert Cooper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cliff Mortimer during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Westbourne getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Cliff Mortimer hit a great ball. Max Moss took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rupert Cooper. Rupert Cooper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivor Gray during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ivor Gray kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Zack Ronson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rupert Cooper skillfully saved the ball. If Max Moss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Purfleet FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Houlahan to maneuver through the defense. Russell Perryman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gareth Broadhurst, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Max Moss managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purfleet FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Moss was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rupert Cooper breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Russell Perryman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Broadhurst in the 76th minute of the match. A collision led to Westbourne getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Timothy Abbotts hit a great ball. Rupert Cooper stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glyn Carragher's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Rupert Cooper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Moss, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Westbourne's goal looked a bit too open when Glyn Carragher came free, but Rupert Cooper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Purfleet FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Shane Goodwin hit a great ball. Russell Perryman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thom Perkins in the 91st minute. Thom Perkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gareth Broadhurst came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Westbourne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gareth Broadhurst couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Westbourne players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Purfleet FC.
