Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Stuart Bridge started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Colin Clist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gus Blewett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toby Armitage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Bridge in the 17th minute of the match. Basil Roche recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Shap's Stuart Bridge in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trimley AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Ron Walker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Shap's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ron Walker fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Shap's Ethan Wild got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Colin Clist in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gus Blewett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Colin Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, Shap's goal looked a bit too open when Colin Clist came free, but Gus Blewett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Colin Clist was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Basil Roche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Toby Armitage was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ron Walker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Blewett having to interfere. When Kurt Bridgewater fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Trimley AFC's protests and gave Kurt Bridgewater a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Trimley AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 69th minute there was a penalty for Shap. John Paul Hutchinson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Toby Armitage. 1-3. After 73 played minutes Trimley AFC got a freekick which was hit by Franz Wills. Stuart Bridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toby Armitage having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Stuart Bridge took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Toby Armitage to make any attempt to save it. The Shap players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
