Wolverhampton FC's Richard Bellamy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Wills in the 12th minute of play. After 15 minutes, Franz Wills mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trimley AFC and the Wolverhampton FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Franz Wills hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Colin Clist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Drake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Toby Armitage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute Ron Walker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Bellamy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Colin Clist sped through Wolverhampton FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Richard Bellamy. The supporters of Trimley AFC booed when Wolverhampton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frazer Sandell didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Franz Wills notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Wolverhampton FC's Richard Bellamy. Richard Bellamy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Wolverhampton FC's zone, Ron Walker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Bellamy came out of the goal and Ron Walker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Colin Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frazer Sandell hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Richard Bellamy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Colin Clist in the 44th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Clist in the 46th minute of play forced Wolverhampton FC's goalkeeper Richard Bellamy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Trimley AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Colin Clist made the kick off in the second half. Lewis Halliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Toby Armitage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 played minutes Wolverhampton FC got a freekick which was hit by Len Childs. A hard shot by Lewis Hutchings from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Richard Bellamy's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 65th minute, Franz Wills hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Lewis Halliday had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Toby Armitage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Den Drake, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Lewis Halliday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Den Drake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Toby Armitage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toby Armitage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Halliday, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ron Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frazer Sandell kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Trimley AFC's Lewis Hutchings couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Wolverhampton FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Len Childs during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Wolverhampton FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Len Childs to maneuver through the defense. Richard Bellamy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Colin Clist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Colin Clist came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Trimley AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colin Clist couldn't finish the play. Ron Walker struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Richard Bellamy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trimley AFC. The Wolverhampton FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Trimley AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Trimley AFC.
