Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when David Lockwood made the kick off which started today's match. Bill Hill kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Reading United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bill Hill to maneuver through the defense. Danny Carragher, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 10th minute when Ritchie Tomkins elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 18thth minute of the game Ritchie Tomkins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Swanmore's Neil Osbon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Swanmore's Phillip Cryan got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 20 played minutes Swanmore got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Cryan. Reading United's Martyn Welch couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 21st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Swanmore. 25 minutes into the game, Reading United's David Lockwood nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neil Osbon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When David Lockwood fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reading United's protests and gave David Lockwood a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, David Lockwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reading United's Thom Rhodes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Reading United from getting a goal against them. Reading United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Aaron Kaye scored to the left of an out of position Thom Rhodes, making the score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Lockwood in the 36th minute of play forced Swanmore's goalkeeper Neil Osbon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Lockwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Swanmore's Allan Mitchell got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 45 minutes into the match, Swanmore's goal looked a bit too open when Ritchie Tomkins came free, but Neil Osbon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Lockwood in the 46th minute of play forced Swanmore's goalkeeper Neil Osbon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ritchie Tomkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
In the 55th match minute, Swanmore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Clapham to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Swanmore's goal looked a bit too open when David Lockwood came free, but Neil Osbon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Clapham kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. David Lockwood sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Lockwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Osbon having to interfere. Reading United's Ritchie Tomkins got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 75 minutes into the match, Swanmore's goalkeeper Neil Osbon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ritchie Tomkins. Ritchie Tomkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ritchie Tomkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Osbon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Lockwood in the 86th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Swanmore's Allan Mitchell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thom Rhodes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Swanmore's Allan Mitchell in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Reading United's goalie prevented a goal. Swanmore were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Reading United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Danny Carragher took the corner.
