Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Kristopher Pyrah got the match started through his kick off. When Streatham's Keith Davis in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Prescot's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Pyrah in the 5th minute of play forced Streatham's goalkeeper Ronnie Ring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kristopher Pyrah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Ronnie Ring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristopher Pyrah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Ring having to interfere. If Martyn Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ronnie Ring was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Kristopher Pyrah capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kristopher Pyrah really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 26 minutes into the match, Streatham's goalkeeper Ronnie Ring had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Greg Hutchins. In the 27th match minute, Streatham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Hewitt to maneuver through the defense. If Greg Hutchins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Keith Davis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 33 minutes, Martyn Miller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Streatham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martyn Miller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Prescot's goalkeeper Nathan Whitworth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Keith Davis scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nathan Whitworth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Martyn Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keith Davis to make the kick off. Damion Morrell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronnie Ring having to interfere. If Greg Hutchins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronnie Ring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kristopher Pyrah, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After having played for 64 minutes, Kristopher Pyrah managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prescot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kristopher Pyrah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Kristopher Pyrah ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronnie Ring was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Fitz Duggan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prescot's supporters rose to their feet, but Fitz Duggan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Ring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Brian Weir fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Streatham's protests and gave Brian Weir a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Brian Weir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronnie Ring showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Hutchins in the 82nd minute of the match. Ronnie Ring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg Hutchins in the 84th minute of play. Martyn Miller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Prescot's zone, Keith Davis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nathan Whitworth came out of the goal and Keith Davis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Martyn Miller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Streatham players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Prescot.
