Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ross Croyden made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Shelfield City getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ian Cooke hit a great ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Keith Davis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Streatham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Keith Davis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kieran Caine hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Steven Renner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shelfield City's supporters rose to their feet, but Steven Renner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronnie Ring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ian Cooke charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ian Cooke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Shelfield City getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ian Cooke hit a great ball. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shelfield City's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jez Drysdale was slow to take the kick. During this time Streatham's players had a chance to rest. In the 19th minute of the match Streatham got a corner. Shelfield City's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jez Drysdale ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jez Drysdale got away a dangerous shot. Despite this CJ Lofthouse quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 23rd match minute, Shelfield City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simeon McDonald to maneuver through the defense. Martyn Miller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without CJ Lofthouse having to interfere. In the 27th minute Keith Davis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but CJ Lofthouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Steven Renner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ross Croyden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Shelfield City's goalkeeper CJ Lofthouse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Steven Renner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Keith Davis to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Streatham's zone, Steven Renner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronnie Ring came out of the goal and Steven Renner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronnie Ring made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steven Renner in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steven Renner got free with Ronnie Ring in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 56 minutes into the game, Streatham's Keith Davis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. CJ Lofthouse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 68 minutes into the match, Shelfield City's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Davis came free, but CJ Lofthouse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Shelfield City's Steven Renner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronnie Ring narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Steven Renner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Ronnie Ring when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Streatham fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Streatham's Keith Davis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. CJ Lofthouse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martyn Miller's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute, Keith Davis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Streatham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Ross Croyden received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ronnie Ring came out and tried to block the shot, but Ross Croyden slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 90th minute. Streatham were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Shelfield City for a fine match.
