In the 26thth minute of the game Frankie Bale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lower Stondon's Darren Hartson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Barnetby Le Wold getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Darryl Liddle hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Alan Knightley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Hird was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. If Alan Knightley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tosh Eastham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Orson Warburton kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Ashley Hird stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tosh Eastham's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tosh Eastham to make the kick off. Alan Knightley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ashley Hird tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eddie Dobby might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ashley Hird. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eddie Dobby ran back to his position shaking his head. During the 61st minute of the match Darryl Liddle completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Darryl Liddle a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Darryl Liddle kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Benjamin Sheppard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barnetby Le Wold's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Sheppard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darren Hartson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Benjamin Sheppard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Sheppard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Hartson having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Alan Knightley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ashley Hird showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Knightley in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, Barnetby Le Wold was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frankie Bale to maneuver through the defense.
