Orson Lundy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matty Howarth, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matty Howarth in the 19th minute of play forced Oswaldtwistle's goalkeeper Orson Lundy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perry Crawshaw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Oswaldtwistle's zone, Matty Howarth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orson Lundy came out of the goal and Matty Howarth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Matty Howarth who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oswaldtwistle's Orson Lundy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daryl Osmond's late challenge caught a Hacconby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daryl Osmond helped the player get up and apologised. Daryl Osmond hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Abraham Froggatt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jools Lamb saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Abraham Froggatt fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jay Basham during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 44th minute, Jay Basham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute, Daryl Osmond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of Oswaldtwistle booed when Hacconby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeffrey Kessler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abraham Froggatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jools Lamb having to interfere. Jools Lamb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Froggatt in the 58th minute of play. If Matty Howarth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Oswaldtwistle's goal looked a bit too open when Perry Crawshaw came free, but Orson Lundy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Abraham Froggatt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jools Lamb. Hacconby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abraham Froggatt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abraham Froggatt in the 94th minute of play forced Hacconby's goalkeeper Jools Lamb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oswaldtwistle's goalkeeper Orson Lundy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
