Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kemsing's Jez Allison started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Neil Young fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Granger having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Kemsing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jez Allison to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kemsing's zone, Neil Young stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Granger came out of the goal and Neil Young tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Kemsing's Richard Thorn got a free kick in the 10th minute. After 14 minutes of play, Long Hanborough AFC's Kev Foley made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ben Granger was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Loyd Norton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Long Hanborough AFC's Mickey Spencer tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Long Hanborough AFC's Lawrence Moss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Long Hanborough AFC from getting a goal against them. Neil Young struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ben Granger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Long Hanborough AFC. Gerry Trunks kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Gerry Trunks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Long Hanborough AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerry Trunks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ben Granger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Neil Young in the 39th minute of the match. Lawrence Moss didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Seb Slabber went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kev Foley to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Neil Young who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kemsing's Ben Granger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kemsing! When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Kev Foley took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ben Granger to make any attempt to save it. Kemsing's Ben Granger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Kemsing from getting a goal against them. Ben Granger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Foley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kemsing getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Jez Allison hit a great ball. Seb Slabber struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Lawrence Moss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kemsing. Ben Granger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Young in the 80th minute. Kemsing's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Kev Foley 87 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. If Neil Young had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 92 minutes, Loyd Norton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kemsing and the Long Hanborough AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ben Granger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kev Foley in the 93rd minute of the match. Jez Allison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Lawrence Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Long Hanborough AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
