Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Trey English made the kick off and thus started the match. 6 minutes into the match, Wellingborough's goal looked a bit too open when Len Marriot came free, but Rod Coulthard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellingborough's Rod Coulthard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leigh Dickner in the 9th minute of play. If Trey English had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paddy Davenport in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kris Morris, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 15 minutes into the game, Brandon Hazledine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellingborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broomhill the free kick. After 15 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Wellingborough! Rod Coulthard had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Kristopher Shuttleworth's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Wellingborough's Dom Hirst got a free kick in the 17th minute. Broomhill's Dom Hughes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dom Hirst during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Wellingborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dom Hirst to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Hughes in the 22nd minute of play forced Wellingborough's goalkeeper Rod Coulthard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Broomhill fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Broomhill's Leigh Dickner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After recieving a nice pass, Wellingborough's Lennie Coe tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Jon Fenton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Broomhill's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon Fenton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Coulthard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rod Coulthard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dom Hughes's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Wellingborough's Trey English got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leigh Dickner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Leigh Dickner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Broomhill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leigh Dickner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Broomhill were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paddy Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 55 minutes of play Wellingborough's Dom Hirst was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Rod Coulthard acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 56th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kristopher Shuttleworth. Leigh Dickner scored 0-2 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rod Coulthard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Wellingborough's Paddy Davenport sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kris Morris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Leigh Dickner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Leigh Dickner notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Wellingborough's Rod Coulthard. Rod Coulthard was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rod Coulthard was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jon Fenton showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 73 minute of play. If Leigh Dickner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Leigh Dickner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Broomhill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leigh Dickner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Antony Salt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wellingborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broomhill the free kick. Antony Salt kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Broomhill's Kristopher Shuttleworth tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Broomhill's Dom Hughes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dom Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Broomhill's supporters rose to their feet, but Dom Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rod Coulthard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Wellingborough getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Trey English hit a great ball. Rod Coulthard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leigh Dickner in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Wellingborough's Trey English got a free kick in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wellingborough's zone, Dom Hughes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rod Coulthard came out of the goal and Dom Hughes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Broomhill could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wellingborough throughout the match.
