Jermaine Pennant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordi Morera, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jordi Morera sped through Witney's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jermaine Pennant. 21 minutes into the match, Witney's goal looked a bit too open when Jordi Morera came free, but Jermaine Pennant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vedat Dicle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastien Tuck, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Jordi Morera made a precise shot to the right of Jermaine Pennant. Witney's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 34 minutes into the match, Kris Blackwell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vedat Dicle. 1878 Red Devils United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kris Blackwell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 56th minute Carolo Aguilar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Pennant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vedat Dicle was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Zane Jenkinson fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After some careless play in the 1878 Red Devils United defense, Sebastien Tuck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vedat Dicle.
