The referee gave Blackheath a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marlon Knight, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Running Ducks's Wes Meade. 0-1. In the 9th match minute, Blackheath was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jay Hurdle to maneuver through the defense. Ray Dudgeon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Horner having to interfere. Wes Meade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Callum Bagshaw in the 16th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Running Ducks got a freekick which was hit by Dane Lomas. Simon Griggs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blackheath's Danny Horner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Blackheath from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the game, Darius Bettney was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Running Ducks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blackheath the free kick. In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Blackheath. Marlon Knight stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wes Meade. 0-2. Lance Garner hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Knight in the 31st minute of play forced Running Ducks's goalkeeper Wes Meade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Blackheath's Simon Griggs got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Running Ducks's Ray Dudgeon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Horner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Dennis Turner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Running Ducks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blackheath the free kick. In the 35th minute, Dennis Turner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Griggs kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay Hurdle in the 39th minute of play forced Running Ducks's goalkeeper Wes Meade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Running Ducks's Ray Dudgeon got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ray Dudgeon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ray Dudgeon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ray Dudgeon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Blackheath defense, Kris Hoskins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Danny Horner. The Blackheath fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Danny Horner should have stopped the shot. Ray Dudgeon took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danny Horner. Danny Horner dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. 70 minutes in the game, Kris Hoskins dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some careless play in the Running Ducks defense, Simon Griggs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wes Meade. The Running Ducks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wes Meade should have stopped the shot. Danny Horner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ray Dudgeon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Horner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kris Hoskins in the 83rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kris Hoskins during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 85th minute, Kris Hoskins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blackheath's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
