Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Robbie Seaward started the match with the kick off. Abraham Cardwell in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tommy Beale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Crowborough getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Damion Bolton hit a great ball. Glen Cornish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Orson Swanson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirk Rhodes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orson Swanson having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Mansfield Town's goalkeeper Tommy Beale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abraham Cardwell. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Glen Cornish managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mansfield Town's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Cornish was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orson Swanson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 minutes, Kirk Rhodes made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Crowborough's Orson Swanson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 37 minutes of play, Mansfield Town's Kirk Rhodes made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Orson Swanson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mansfield Town's Tommy Beale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Mansfield Town from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes into the game, Barney Burns was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mansfield Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crowborough the free kick. Jeff Goodwin hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When Damion Bolton fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crowborough's protests and gave Damion Bolton a yellow card for diving instead. After 51 played minutes Crowborough got a freekick which was hit by Damion Bolton. Robbie Seaward fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Beale having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Mansfield Town's goal looked a bit too open when Robbie Seaward came free, but Tommy Beale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Beale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abraham Cardwell's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Robbie Seaward managed to get in a good position for a shot. Crowborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Robbie Seaward was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Beale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 68 minutes into the game, Crowborough's Abraham Cardwell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Beale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Tommy Beale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robbie Seaward in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Robbie Seaward ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Beale was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Abraham Cardwell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Abraham Cardwell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
