Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Brendon Darby started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 8 minutes into the match, Keelby City's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Buchanan came free, but Dom Wheeler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ben Buchanan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dom Wheeler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ben Buchanan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holmes Chapel United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ben Buchanan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dom Wheeler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Holmes Chapel United booed when Keelby City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justin Byrom didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience cheered when Pierce Dryden's long shot passed Dom Wheeler's right side. It was 0-2, 22 minutes into the match. Tyler Flower received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dom Wheeler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tyler Flower came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Holmes Chapel United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Flower couldn't finish the play. Howard Bailey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Darby, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Tyler Flower came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Holmes Chapel United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Flower couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Keelby City's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Buchanan came free, but Dom Wheeler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Lenny Corrigan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Tyler Flower in the 41st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Brendon Darby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ben Buchanan was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Holmes Chapel United's goal looked a bit too open when George Clemence came free, but Howard Bailey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 51st minute, George Clemence left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Keelby City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Clemence in the 64th minute of play forced Holmes Chapel United's goalkeeper Howard Bailey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Buchanan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dom Wheeler having to interfere. When Tyler Flower came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Holmes Chapel United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyler Flower couldn't finish the play. The Holmes Chapel United fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Holmes Chapel United's Ben Buchanan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Neil Wardell kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. George Clemence struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Howard Bailey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Keelby City. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
