Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ben Buchanan kicked off to start the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Bullard in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Howard Bailey saved Holmes Chapel United from getting behind. Ben Buchanan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Len Humphreys made a huge save. Ben Buchanan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Len Humphreys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ben Buchanan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyler Flower who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Len Humphreys when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 16 minutes into the match, Holmes Chapel United's Tyler Flower sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Len Humphreys narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vince Clarke during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tipton United's Vince Clarke got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Dave Pool had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Vince Clarke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tipton United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 25th minute, Pierce Dryden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dominic Blythe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ron Collins charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ron Collins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tipton United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Pierce Dryden shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Tyler Flower received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Len Humphreys tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominic Blythe struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Howard Bailey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tipton United. Len Humphreys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Buchanan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Dave Pool might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Howard Bailey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Pool ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dave Pool made the kick off in the second half. When Holmes Chapel United's Ben Buchanan in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tipton United's goalie prevented a goal. 63 minutes into the match, Tipton United's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Buchanan came free, but Len Humphreys reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyler Flower fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Len Humphreys having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Ben Buchanan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Holmes Chapel United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Buchanan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tipton United's Dominic Blythe got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dave Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Holmes Chapel United's Darius Bartram got a free kick in the 74th minute. Dave Pool might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Howard Bailey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dave Pool ran back to his position shaking his head. Dave Pool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tyler Flower in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Len Humphreys prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ben Buchanan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Len Humphreys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ben Buchanan, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
