Ter's Ivor Munday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Duckworth in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alf Findley in the 9th minute of play forced Ter's goalkeeper Ivor Munday to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Walcote getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Ruben Cheeseman hit a great ball. In the 11th minute Nicholas Darko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roy Delaney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walcote's Roy Delaney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Walcote from getting a goal against them. Nicholas Darko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Roy Delaney when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nicholas Darko succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 21st playminute. Felix Lydiate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Ivor Munday tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Kev Driver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Walcote got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Hinshelwood. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Robert Duckworth made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ter's zone, Alf Findley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivor Munday came out of the goal and Alf Findley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute Felix Lydiate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivor Munday saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Alf Findley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivor Munday. Alf Findley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. Roy Delaney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timothy Moyse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the game, Alf Findley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ivor Munday. After a rather tough play, Walcote's Tommy Blakeley got a free kick in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basil Varley during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Basil Varley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kev Driver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Topham in the 94th minute of play forced Walcote's goalkeeper Roy Delaney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 96 minutes of play Ter's Basil Varley was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ter's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
