Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Adrian Goodall started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Benfica's Ritchie Dunlop got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The long shot by Freddy Stevens in the 4th minute really tested Leigh Woolford's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Ash Margarson came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ash Margarson couldn't finish the play. Hugh Gerrard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Leigh Woolford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benfica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Hugh Gerrard scored to the left of an out of position Leigh Woolford, making the score, 1-1. Brett Clark sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benfica's Adrian Goodall got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Ledbury's Hugh Gerrard got a free kick in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugh Gerrard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Brett Clark came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Ledbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brett Clark couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute Brett Clark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Woolford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ash Margarson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Stew Lobb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Goodall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jasper Smart having to interfere. In the 63rdth minute of the game Adrian Goodall who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ledbury's Jasper Smart was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Leigh Woolford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stew Lobb in the 66th minute of play. If Hugh Gerrard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Ledbury's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Goodall came free, but Jasper Smart reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Gwyn Beesley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ash Margarson came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ash Margarson couldn't finish the play. Brett Clark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 88 minutes on the clock, Connor Purkiss commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Benfica! The referee gave Ledbury a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Freddy Stevens, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Benfica's Leigh Woolford. 2-2. In the 96th minute Brett Clark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Woolford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ritchie Dunlop hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
