Simon Bilton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dominik Foggarty hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute Bob Milner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Bilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rapid Bucharest's Dominik Foggarty in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Rapid Bucharest fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Bilton should have stopped the shot. Glen Callery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Bilton having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Hallam during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Rapid Bucharest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Hallam to maneuver through the defense. Lance Lambourne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. George Cheswick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid Bucharest's zone, Bob Milner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Bilton came out of the goal and Bob Milner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 played minutes Rapid Bucharest got a freekick which was hit by Victor Hallam. Princess FC's Steve Haskell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 69th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rapid Bucharest. When Glen Callery fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Princess FC's protests and gave Glen Callery a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rapid Bucharest booed when Princess FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glen Callery didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 minutes of play Rapid Bucharest's Victor Hallam was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 79 played minutes Rapid Bucharest got a freekick which was hit by Victor Hallam.
