Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Newhaven FC's Wesley Renwick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Newhaven FC's Sidney Knowles got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 11 in the game by Sidney Knowles from a close distance when the talented Jon Black managed to make a qualified save. Seer Green's players were relieved. In the 12th match minute, Seer Green was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martyn Canning to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Seer Green's zone, Sidney Knowles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jon Black came out of the goal and Sidney Knowles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 16 minutes, Martyn Canning mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seer Green and the Newhaven FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Seer Green's Martyn Canning got a free kick in the 16th minute. Wesley Renwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jon Black tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Steven Ackland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Mayfield saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newhaven FC's Todd Mayfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Marshall in the 24th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Sidney Knowles got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Huey Holstead hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute of the match Gus Pell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jon Black skillfully saved the ball. After 32 played minutes Seer Green got a freekick which was hit by Martyn Canning. In the 43rd minute, Martyn Canning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Newhaven FC's Gus Pell broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jon Black made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley Renwick in the 45th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Marshall to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Marshall in the 52nd minute of play forced Newhaven FC's goalkeeper Todd Mayfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Newhaven FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Nathan Moore hit a great ball. Steven Ackland took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Todd Mayfield. Todd Mayfield dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Callum Clough kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Newhaven FC's Wesley Renwick sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon Black narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Allan Marshall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Todd Mayfield having to interfere. In the 73rdth minute of the game Wesley Renwick who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seer Green's Jon Black was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sidney Knowles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Jon Black tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Allan Marshall got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidney Knowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Renwick fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Black having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Wesley Renwick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Jon Black was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leo Folan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Todd Mayfield. Newhaven FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 96th minute, Steven Ackland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Seer Green players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
