A collision led to spurs city getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Sean Maston hit a great ball. In the 16th match minute, spurs city was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Maston to maneuver through the defense. Nicky Sheene, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 20th minute, Marty Blackburn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marty Blackburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jude Bond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Martyn Castleton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ross Westlake having to make a save. When Alfie Chambers fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Holford City's protests and gave Alfie Chambers a yellow card for diving instead. Holford City's Jude Bond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasey Potter in the 34th minute of play. Sean Maston hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jude Bond made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Marty Blackburn sent off a good shot on target. Holford City's Jude Bond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marty Blackburn in the 40th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kasey Potter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jude Bond was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. The supporters of Holford City booed when spurs city was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marty Blackburn didn't get a good kick on the ball. spurs city's Marty Blackburn was, in the 45th minute, rewarded a free kick which he blasted straight towards the goal. The goalkeeper seemed frozen by the shot, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went outside of the right post. If Marty Blackburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Holford City's Jude Bond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kasey Potter in the 54th minute of play. Jude Bond didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marty Blackburn went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ross Westlake was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Alfie Chambers capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfie Chambers really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Holford City's zone, Marty Blackburn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Bond came out of the goal and Marty Blackburn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Alfie Chambers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holford City's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfie Chambers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ross Westlake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Marty Blackburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jude Bond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of spurs city booed when Holford City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Bambrook didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stuart Clark, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Holford City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
