The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Brett Ferdinand ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ross Westlake was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Kasey Potter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Norfolk having to interfere. The supporters of spurs city booed when Bishops Castle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daryl Nash didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alastair Norfolk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Blackburn in the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in spurs city's zone, Brett Ferdinand stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ross Westlake came out of the goal and Brett Ferdinand tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When spurs city's Marty Blackburn in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bishops Castle's goalie prevented a goal. Alastair Norfolk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marty Blackburn in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of spurs city booed when Bishops Castle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zak Grayson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marty Blackburn in the 32nd minute of play forced Bishops Castle's goalkeeper Alastair Norfolk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alastair Norfolk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Blackburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kasey Potter to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Brett Ferdinand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ross Westlake. spurs city's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brett Ferdinand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Huey Meadowcroft recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ross Westlake didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bishops Castle's Huey Meadowcroft shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Brett Ferdinand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Huey Meadowcroft managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bishops Castle's supporters rose to their feet, but Huey Meadowcroft was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ross Westlake breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Huey Meadowcroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brett Ferdinand in the 69th minute of play forced spurs city's goalkeeper Ross Westlake to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bishops Castle's Brett Ferdinand got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ross Westlake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brett Ferdinand in the 74th minute of play. If Brett Ferdinand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stuart Clark kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Loyd Smart kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. With a little luck, Bishops Castle's Alastair Norfolk got control of the ball when Marty Blackburn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marty Blackburn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Norfolk having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, spurs city's Alexander Budge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alastair Norfolk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bishops Castle had played much better football throughout.
