Martyn Castleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alastair Norfolk having to interfere. The supporters of Bishops Castle booed when Holford City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Wellings didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Huey Meadowcroft notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Holford City's Jude Bond. Jude Bond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alastair Norfolk made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Martyn Castleton sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carl Short during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Huey Meadowcroft struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Jude Bond didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bishops Castle. Jude Bond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Meadowcroft in the 24th minute of play. Bishops Castle's Brett Ferdinand got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Holford City getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Dan Reddington hit a great ball. Huey Meadowcroft scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jude Bond, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Huey Meadowcroft had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jude Bond. Holford City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Huey Meadowcroft was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3.

A collision led to Bishops Castle getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Daryl Nash hit a great ball. Brett Ferdinand could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jude Bond made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Holford City's zone, Huey Meadowcroft stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jude Bond came out of the goal and Huey Meadowcroft tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brett Ferdinand who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Jude Bond when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Huey Meadowcroft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brett Ferdinand got free with Jude Bond in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Huey Meadowcroft's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jude Bond was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. After having played for 76 minutes, Brett Ferdinand managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bishops Castle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brett Ferdinand was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 79 minutes, Alfie Chambers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When the match was over Bishops Castle could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Holford City throughout the match.
