Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Felix Poynton kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stu Woodcock in the 5th minute of play forced Newton on Ouse's goalkeeper Eddie Hopker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eddie Hopker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Poynton in the 9th minute of the match. Stu Woodcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Hopker having to interfere. Warren Grayson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Noel Styles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Poynton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Eddie Hopker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Stu Woodcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rod Lansdell hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44thth minute of the game Warren Grayson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheshunt's Noel Styles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 45 played minutes Cheshunt got a freekick which was hit by Jonathon Gardener. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Warren Grayson made the kick off in the second half. Stu Woodcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stu Woodcock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eddie Hopker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Felix Poynton was extremely unlucky when he, in the 62nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cheshunt's Stu Woodcock got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the game, Ivor Biernat was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newton on Ouse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cheshunt the free kick. Felix Poynton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Eddie Hopker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stu Woodcock who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Eddie Hopker when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Felix Poynton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheshunt's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Poynton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eddie Hopker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Felix Poynton came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Cheshunt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Poynton couldn't finish the play. Stu Woodcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Newton on Ouse getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Gav Holland hit a great ball. Eddie Hopker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Poynton, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cheshunt's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
