Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dennis Farrow succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 9th playminute. Seth Edworthy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ozzy Laurie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Taverham's Michael Budden got a free kick in the 14th minute. Will Farrow hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Carl Shilton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Will Farrow was shown his second yellow card after 23 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 23rd minute, one of Taverham:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Taverham. In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Ashburton City. Darren Wardman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ozzy Laurie. 1-1. Vince Midson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Christopher Calder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brad Howlett's late challenge caught a Taverham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brad Howlett helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ashburton City getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Brad Howlett hit a great ball. If Seth Edworthy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashburton City's Christopher Calder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Ashburton City from getting a goal against them. Fred Berryman charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fred Berryman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Ashburton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fred Berryman to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ashburton City's Christopher Calder got control of the ball when Dennis Farrow tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Christopher Calder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Farrow in the 55th minute of the match. Christopher Calder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Farrow, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Iain Mallaby hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Darren Wardman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 64 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ashburton City! Ashburton City:s Christopher Calder showed great skill when he stopped Bobby Rowling:s penalty. Seth Edworthy hit a great ball. In the 76th match minute, Ashburton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frankie Constable to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 77 minutes, Dennis Farrow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taverham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Farrow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Taverham's goalkeeper Ozzy Laurie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Shilton. 84 minutes into the game, Taverham's Dennis Farrow nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christopher Calder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Christopher Calder took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vince Midson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th match minute, Ashburton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Edworthy to maneuver through the defense. Bobby Rowling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christopher Calder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Dennis Farrow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Christopher Calder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vince Midson came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Taverham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vince Midson couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute, Dennis Farrow made a precise shot to the right of Christopher Calder. Ashburton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Ozzy Laurie was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Seth Edworthy. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Taverham fully deserved thier win.
