Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glenn Rushforth in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clive Adamson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clive Adamson made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Les Mulligan sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute, Lenny Endean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wally Heslop received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Clive Adamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Les Mulligan came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the New Teamname fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Les Mulligan couldn't finish the play. The England fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when England's Ryan Childs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 14 minutes into the match, Ryan Childs notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of New Teamname's Casey Crocker. Casey Crocker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. New Teamname's Casey Crocker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Childs in the 26th minute of play. Casey Crocker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryan Childs in the 27th minute of the match. Casey Crocker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Masters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casey Crocker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Masters, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Masters in the 31st minute of play forced New Teamname's goalkeeper Casey Crocker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clive Adamson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glenn Rushforth, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. England's Clive Adamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Rushforth in the 36th minute of play. With his leg Clive Adamson managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when New Teamname's Les Mulligan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 40 minutes into the match, New Teamname's Glenn Rushforth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clive Adamson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. New Teamname's Casey Crocker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Childs in the 42nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, New Teamname's Clive Adamson threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Glenn Rushforth, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glenn Rushforth made a kick off. In the 55th minute Les Mulligan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clive Adamson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clive Adamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wally Heslop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, New Teamname's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Masters came free, but Casey Crocker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to New Teamname getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Wally Heslop hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, England's Lenny Endean ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Casey Crocker. Casey Crocker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Glenn Rushforth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Clive Adamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Paul Porter hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Les Mulligan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New Teamname fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Todd Shipley struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Clive Adamson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Teamname. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glenn Rushforth in the 79th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Clive Adamson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wally Heslop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clive Adamson having to interfere. After having played for 86 minutes, Glenn Rushforth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Teamname's supporters crossed their fingers, but Glenn Rushforth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Clive Adamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Les Mulligan in the 88th minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of England were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant New Teamname side.
