The referee showed Kevin Chadwick the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ingatestone getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kevin Chadwick hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Ingatestone's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Gibson came free, but Damion Cheeseman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingatestone's Kristopher Bodsworth got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristopher Bodsworth succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 18th playminute. Ian Rothery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Henwood having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Drew Gascoigne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ingatestone's supporters rose to their feet, but Drew Gascoigne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theo Henwood breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kristopher Bodsworth could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Theo Henwood made a huge save. Ian Rothery succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 34th playminute. If Tosh Ashton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tosh Ashton came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ingatestone fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tosh Ashton couldn't finish the play. Theo Henwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tosh Ashton in the 42nd minute of the match. Hayling Island AFC's Theo Henwood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Hayling Island AFC from getting a goal against them. Drew Gascoigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Henwood having to interfere. A collision led to Hayling Island AFC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Liam Lockwood hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kristopher Bodsworth was the one to do the kick off. Ian Rothery fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Henwood having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kristopher Bodsworth in the 62nd minute of play forced Hayling Island AFC's goalkeeper Theo Henwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hayling Island AFC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Ted Bradfield hit a great ball. Kevin Chadwick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hayling Island AFC's Theo Henwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristopher Bodsworth in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Hayling Island AFC's zone, Ian Rothery stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Henwood came out of the goal and Ian Rothery tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Theo Henwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristopher Bodsworth in the 75th minute of play. Drew Gascoigne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Henwood having to interfere. Ian Rothery struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Theo Henwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ingatestone. Theo Henwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drew Gascoigne in the 88th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Hayling Island AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tosh Ashton came free, but Theo Henwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Rothery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ted Bradfield kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Kristopher Bodsworth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Theo Henwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hayling Island AFC's zone, Kristopher Bodsworth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
