Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Denzil Linford got the match started through his kick off. If Denzil Linford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 8 played minutes Bedford City got a freekick which was hit by Gordon Warne. Bob Warnett hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rackenford United's zone, Warren Tate stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wes Robson came out of the goal and Warren Tate tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Warren Tate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Wes Robson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Peter Bowland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bedford City booed when Rackenford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Bowland didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Bedford City's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Ricketts came free, but Ian Marsden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Denzil Linford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wes Robson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodd Tompkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ian Marsden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute of the match Garth Blewett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wes Robson skillfully saved the ball. After 53 minutes, Jeffrey Burns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rackenford United and the Bedford City players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Rackenford United got a freekick which was hit by Jeffrey Burns. After a rather tough play, Rackenford United's Ethan Ricketts got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 78 minutes of play, Bedford City's Warren Tate made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wes Robson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wes Robson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Warren Tate in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Rackenford United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Bowland to maneuver through the defense. After 88 minutes Rackenford United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bob Warnett who took care of the corner kick. Denzil Linford made a great header on Bedford City's corner, it was just that Rackenford United's Wes Robson managed to reach the ball for a save. Warren Tate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rackenford United's Wes Robson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denzil Linford in the 94th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Warren Tate left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bedford City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0.
