Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Richie Blakewell kicked off to start the match. Stu Ring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicky Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Anthony Prince managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winsford's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Prince was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stu Ring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anthony Princes short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Stu Ring to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Leigh Horseman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anthony Prince struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Stu Ring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Winsford. Leigh Horseman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Stu Ring skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Leigh Horseman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Ring having to interfere. Anthony Prince's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stu Ring read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Stu Ring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leigh Horseman, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Stu Ring made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Anthony Prince sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Leigh Horseman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stu Ring. The goal made the score 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Leigh Horseman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Stu Ring tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Winsford's Leigh Horseman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stu Ring narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Niall Jenkins hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Anthony Prince scored 2-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stu Ring, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Winsford's goal looked a bit too open when Richie Blakewell came free, but Terry Winship reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Anthony Prince had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stu Ring made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anthony Prince in the 79th minute of play. 3-0 became the score in the 81st minute when Anthony Prince elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Leigh Horseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 86 played minutes Winsford got a freekick which was hit by Sol Sills. Chelmsford's Tim Lomas got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anthony Prince fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stu Ring having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Chelmsford got a freekick which was hit by Niall Bailey. 99 minutes into the game, Tim Lomas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelmsford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winsford the free kick. 98 minutes into the game, one of Chelmsford:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. There was no doubt that Winsford were the better team. Winsford's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
