Shepton Mallet's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 10th minute, Frankie Bridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sean Crabtree had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Harlesden's goalkeeper Dean Hazledine had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allan Avery. Benjamin Wray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Hazledine having to interfere. Damien Caine came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dean Hazledine could save by the left post. Crispin Hayward hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Shepton Mallet's Buster Woodhouse couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 30th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Harlesden. A collision led to Harlesden getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Crispin Hayward hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Shepton Mallet's Buster Woodhouse broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Damien Caine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dean Hazledine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, Shepton Mallet's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Ealham came free, but Nigel Messenger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philip Stubbs's late challenge caught a Harlesden's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Philip Stubbs helped the player get up and apologised. Philip Stubbs hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Bradley Ford blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nigel Messenger having to make a save.

The wind increased when Sean Crabtree made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Bradley Ford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nigel Messenger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the game, Benjamin Wray was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shepton Mallet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Harlesden the free kick. The supporters of Harlesden booed when Shepton Mallet was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Wray didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harlesden's Christian Mansell shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 61st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Nigel Messenger but with some difficulty. After 63 minutes, Buster Woodhouse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shepton Mallet and the Harlesden players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Shepton Mallet fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Jack Ealham who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Nigel Messenger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dean Hazledine came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Shepton Mallet's Sean Crabtree. But to his dismay, Sean Crabtree quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 78th minute of the game, Damien Caine landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Christian Mansell's late challenge caught a Shepton Mallet's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Mansell helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Harlesden's Christian Mansell got a free kick in the 79th minute. Harlesden's Dean Hazledine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Crabtree in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Benjamin Wray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jack Ealham got free with Nigel Messenger in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allan Avery charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Allan Avery the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd minute, Allan Avery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradley Ford in the 93rd minute of play forced Shepton Mallet's goalkeeper Nigel Messenger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
