Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kev Moyse took the kick off in the first half of the match. BRUCE's David Aspinall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrone Simpson in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Will Story-Moore hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Aspinall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyrone Simpson, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by BRUCE's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ed Deeney was slow to take the kick. During this time Ossett United's players had a chance to rest. Ed Deeney made a great header on Ossett United's corner, it was just that BRUCE's David Aspinall managed to reach the ball for a save. Rufus Joynes kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BRUCE's Will Story-Moore got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Ed Deeney sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Aspinall skillfully saved the ball. David Aspinall was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Lewis Bradbury. If Tyrone Simpson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Munday made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kev Moyse in the 29th minute of play. Lewis Bartram fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Aspinall having to interfere. Tyrone Simpsons short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got David Aspinall to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tyrone Simpson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. David Aspinall came out and tried to block the shot, but Tyrone Simpson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 34th minute. After 47 played minutes Ossett United got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Bradbury.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tyrone Simpson was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Kev Moyse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BRUCE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kev Moyse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, one of BRUCE:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Ossett United. Ed Deeney stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving David Aspinall. 3-0. Dave Way's late challenge caught a BRUCE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Way helped the player get up and apologised. Dave Way kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Jerome Deakin hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Will Story-Moore threw the ball into play from the sideline. Ossett United's Conal Sawyer quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Lewis Bartram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Aspinall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tyrone Simpson in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Tyrone Simpson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Aspinall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyrone Simpson hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Tyrone Simpson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Aspinall was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Lewis Bartram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in BRUCE's zone, Tyrone Simpson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Aspinall came out of the goal and Tyrone Simpson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Aspinall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyrone Simpson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Ossett United were the better team. Ossett United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
