Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rob Downton started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Karl Sugden had to leave the field with a concussion. Phil Husband charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phil Husband the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes Knottingley got a freekick which was hit by Phil Husband. A hard shot by Todd Letheren from long distance, 6 minutes into the match, got Lloyd Crtichell's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Lloyd Crtichell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Downton, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. A collision led to Knottingley getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Carl Mortimer hit a great ball. After 13 minutes of play, Kidderminster Harriers's Rob Downton made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lloyd Crtichell was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Rob Downton took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Lloyd Crtichell to make any attempt to save it. In the 21st minute, Liam Pope hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alec Barker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Marsden in the 24th minute of play. Philip Marsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Barker having to interfere. Thomas Budden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lloyd Crtichell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Downton in the 37th minute of play. Jeffrey Carroll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rob Downton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Budden was the one to do the kick off. Rob Downton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lloyd Crtichell having to interfere. Zack Weir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Sammy Picker came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Kidderminster Harriers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sammy Picker couldn't finish the play. Philip Marsden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Barker having to interfere. If Rob Downton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Knottingley got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Budden. If Rob Downton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. When Zack Weir came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Kidderminster Harriers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zack Weir couldn't finish the play. Lloyd Crtichell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Downton in the 83rd minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Alastair Prendergast was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Knottingley's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kidderminster Harriers the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Knottingley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alastair Prendergast to maneuver through the defense. Rob Downton might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lloyd Crtichell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rob Downton ran back to his position shaking his head. 90 minutes into the match, Kidderminster Harriers's Rob Downton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lloyd Crtichell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zack Weir scored 4-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lloyd Crtichell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Kidderminster Harriers's Zack Weir got a free kick in the 94th minute. 97 minutes into the match, Rob Downton notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Knottingley's Lloyd Crtichell. Lloyd Crtichell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the Kidderminster Harriers players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
