Nicky Sunderland hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Mitch Scorfield hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Johnathon Forrest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Reynolds having to interfere. Nicky Sunderland kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute of the match Carlton Watkinson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Reynolds showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Kurt Mortimer put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kieran Drake. Dove Holes's Rodd Jump got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Hampton in Arden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicky Sunderland to maneuver through the defense. Rodd Jump might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Reynolds. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodd Jump ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Johnathon Forrest put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Stefan Reynolds. Kurt Mortimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieran Drake having to interfere. After 41 minutes, Crispin Butterworth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dove Holes and the Hampton in Arden players grew even worse after the yellow card. Crispin Butterworth hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Billie Jenkins from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Stefan Reynolds's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The audience was convinced that Mitch Scorfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kieran Drake was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After the first half Hampton in Arden were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mitch Scorfield was the one to do the kick off. Hampton in Arden's Mitch Scorfield got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johnathon Forrest struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Stefan Reynolds didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dove Holes. With his leg Kieran Drake managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Hampton in Arden's Kurt Mortimer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of Hampton in Arden booed when Dove Holes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Crispin Butterworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mitch Scorfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Kieran Drake tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnathon Forrest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Reynolds having to interfere. Stefan Reynolds made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodd Jump in the 72nd minute of play. Kieran Drake didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mitch Scorfield went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Stefan Reynolds took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnathon Forrest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mitch Scorfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hampton in Arden getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Nicky Sunderland hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hampton in Arden walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
