Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jamie Birchall started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Jamie Birchall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ferencvárosi TC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamie Birchall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chaz Downs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Deon Lilley to strike the kick off in the second half. Jake Lambert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Roger Heslop made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Deon Lilley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Heslop was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ferencvárosi TC's goalkeeper Roger Heslop, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ferencvárosi TC's Roger Heslop proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Ferencvárosi TC from getting a goal against them. Shaun Barfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Barrie Dobson kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Jamie Birchall notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of sunderland afc's Chaz Downs. Chaz Downs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roger Heslop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deon Lilley in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Deon Lilley kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Heslop. That made the score 1-2 in the 92 minute of play. Deon Lilley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Roger Heslop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The sunderland afc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing sunderland afc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
