Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sean Archer kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Thrybergh AFC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Jerome Constable hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Thrybergh AFC's zone, Dean Elvins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guy Hurst came out of the goal and Dean Elvins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thrybergh AFC's Guy Hurst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Elvins in the 7th minute of play. Lance Rayner made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simon Skipton in the 10th minute. Dean Elvins struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Guy Hurst didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Conway Gardens. If Simon Skipton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Kurt Symons made a precise shot to the right of Guy Hurst. Thrybergh AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Conway Gardens's Lance Rayner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sean Archer in the 30th minute of play. Dean Elvins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 36 minutes, Dean Elvins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Conway Gardens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dean Elvins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Conway Gardens's goalkeeper Lance Rayner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Skipton. In the 43rd minute, Zackary Hellen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Simon Skipton struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lance Rayner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thrybergh AFC. Guy Hurst took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Elvins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kurt Symons was the one to do the kick off. Guy Hurst made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Dean Elvins sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dean Elvins got free with Guy Hurst in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Noel Bastow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thrybergh AFC's Sean Archer got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Conway Gardens's Stan Pryor got a free kick in the 67th minute. Simon Skipton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Lance Rayner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute of the match Tommy Heywood sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lance Rayner skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, Conway Gardens's Kurt Symons dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Conway Gardens's Noel Bastow got a free kick in the 97th minute. In the 98th minute, Vernon Worrall sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Conway Gardens's Lance Rayner didn't even have to move.
