Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Eric Lee-Barrett made the kick off and thus started the match. Ross Alcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Piercy having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Ross Alcock got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Darryl Rouse received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stefan Piercy came out and tried to block the shot, but Darryl Rouse slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. Ross Alcock came free with the goalkeeper in the 10th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stefan Piercy could save by the left post. 12 minutes into the game, Ross Alcock cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Stefan Piercy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stefan Piercy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sam Higson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ross Alcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rory Shakespeare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rory Shakespeare received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Syd Banks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Lee-Barrett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Syd Banks read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. If Rory Shakespeare had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Wellington FC's Ross Alcock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stefan Piercy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Sam Higson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 3-0 came through a penalty shot after 47 played minutes, when Wellington FC:s Fred Quantrill calmly waited for Lutterworth:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sam Higson made a kick off. Ross Alcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Stefan Piercy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute of the match Vic Bass sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stefan Piercy skillfully saved the ball. Sam Higson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Piercy having to interfere. Stefan Piercy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ross Alcock's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. If Sam Higson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ross Alcock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Syd Banks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ross Alcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Stefan Piercy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sam Higson struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Stefan Piercy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellington FC. Ross Alcock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Wellington FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
