Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Uffington's Marek Folan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rodney Greenfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Colin Fry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marek Folan came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Uffington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Folan couldn't finish the play. Marek Folan might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Louie Butterfield. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marek Folan ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes in the game, Philip Niven dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gavin Rusby kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Colin Fry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurence Moxon in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Rodney Greenfield got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Scott Naylor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uffington's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hornchurch the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Uffington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scott Naylor to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Uffington:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hornchurch:s goal. When the match had been going on for 25 minutes, Hornchurch's Bobby Adamson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Colin Fry. Huey Corrigan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Uffington's zone, Laurence Moxon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Colin Fry came out of the goal and Laurence Moxon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philip Niven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Niven's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Louie Butterfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Uffington's goal looked a bit too open when Laurence Moxon came free, but Colin Fry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colin Fry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurence Moxon in the 41st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurence Moxon in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Colin Fry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Louie Butterfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Folan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Silk's late challenge caught a Hornchurch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brendon Silk helped the player get up and apologised. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurence Moxon to make the kick off. Laurence Moxon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Colin Fry having to make a save. Laurence Moxon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Colin Fry having to interfere. Rodney Greenfield struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Colin Fry didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hornchurch. Marek Folan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Uffington's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Philip Niven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colin Fry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laurence Moxon's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. After 78 minutes, Laurence Moxon made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uffington's Colin Fry tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Hornchurch's Jerry Haylock got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Marek Folan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Louie Butterfield having to interfere. Uffington's Philip Niven was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 94th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Hornchurch's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
