The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Austen Portway in the 5th minute of play forced Maniac City's goalkeeper Rhys Laycock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Manchester United's Albert Myers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rhys Laycock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rhys Laycock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Austen Portway in the 9th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis Barnes in the 11th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Jim Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Austen Portway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rhys Laycock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Jim Jones, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 26 played minutes, Maniac City's Fitz Markham shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jim Jones came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Maniac City reached it. If Lewis Barnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Maniac City's Lewis Barnes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jim Jones made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 44 played minutes Austen Portway rounded Maniac City's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lewis Barnes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aaron Nightingale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maniac City's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Nightingale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim Jones breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Spacey hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Tommy Spacey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Maniac City's Malcolm May got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Barney Burley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rhys Laycock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aaron Nightingale might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jim Jones. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Nightingale ran back to his position shaking his head. Rhys Laycock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Austen Portway, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Austen Portway managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester United's supporters rose to their feet, but Austen Portway was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rhys Laycock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Maniac City's goal looked a bit too open when Austen Portway came free, but Rhys Laycock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
