Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the match, Denholme City's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Salmon came free, but Niall Darby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miles Eastwood kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Dale Peat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phil Haley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Peat in the 15th minute of play forced the casle's goalkeeper Phil Haley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niall Darby made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Ben Winter sent off a good shot on target. Dale Peat scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phil Haley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Peat in the 24th minute of play forced the casle's goalkeeper Phil Haley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Ben Winter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. the casle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Winter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Grant Salmon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Niall Darby. That made the score 1-1 in the 35 minute of play. After 38 played minutes the casle got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Ramsay. Sean Gaskell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phil Haley having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Joseph Goodman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ben Winter struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Niall Darby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for the casle. Grant Salmon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Niall Darby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Denholme City's goal looked a bit too open when Grant Salmon came free, but Niall Darby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes Denholme City got a freekick which was hit by Joseph Goodman.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sean Gaskell to make the kick off. Grant Salmon kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Ben Winter struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Niall Darby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for the casle. With his leg Phil Haley managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Denholme City's Dale Peat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grant Salmon in the 72nd minute of play forced Denholme City's goalkeeper Niall Darby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Denholme City booed when the casle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Salmon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Sean Gaskell notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of the casle's Phil Haley. Phil Haley was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the game, Dale Peat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Phil Haley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sean Gaskell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil Haley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After a rather tough play, the casle's Peter Mullan got a free kick in the 90th minute. The the casle supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Denholme City's performance. The match ended with a win for Denholme City.
