Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sean Gaskell got the match started through his kick off. The audience was convinced that Sean Gaskell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Al Speight was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 4th minute Scott Ansell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Speight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Al Speight showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Peat in the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to Denholme City getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dale Peat hit a great ball. The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Dale Peat kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Al Speight never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. Al Speight took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Gaskell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sean Gaskell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reuben Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Niall Darby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bridgnorth United's Reuben Harrison got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Bridgnorth United's zone, Sean Gaskell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Speight came out of the goal and Sean Gaskell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Vinnie Hepburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bridgnorth United's zone, Sean Gaskell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Speight came out of the goal and Sean Gaskell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dale Peat struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Al Speight didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denholme City. Denholme City's Dale Peat got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Denholme City's goalkeeper Niall Darby had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Talbot. In the 68th match minute, Bridgnorth United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh Martin to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sean Gaskell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denholme City's supporters rose to their feet, but Sean Gaskell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Speight breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 71 minutes into the match, Bridgnorth United's goal looked a bit too open when Dale Peat came free, but Al Speight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Denholme City's Gaz Brazier got a free kick in the 75th minute. Dale Peat hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Denholme City's Niall Darby got control of the ball when Michael Talbot tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reuben Harrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Niall Darby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sean Gaskell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Speight having to interfere. Dale Peat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Speight having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Sean Gaskell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Speight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinnie Hepburn kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Denholme City players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
