Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Johnny Coombe started the match with the kick off. Sean Haugue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wally Findley having to interfere. Tyrone Fairs came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Derby United's Daniel Phimister. But to his dismay, Daniel Phimister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 22 minutes of play, Tintagel City's Sean Haugue made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wally Findley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Phimister succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 26th playminute. Johnny Coombe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tyrone Fairs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eric Button sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Tintagel City's goal looked a bit too open when Johnny Coombe came free, but Tyrone Fairs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Coombe in the 43rd minute of play forced Tintagel City's goalkeeper Tyrone Fairs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tyrone Fairs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Phimister in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Haugue in the 46th minute of play forced Derby United's goalkeeper Wally Findley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ben Sugden made the kick off in the second half. Derby United's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ben Sugden 52 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Tintagel City's Tyrone Fairs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Coombe in the 55th minute of play. If Daniel Phimister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Derby United's Johnny Coombe in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tintagel City's goalie prevented a goal. After 62 minutes, Daniel Phimister made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Tintagel City's Tyrone Fairs tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute Daniel Phimister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Fairs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Daniel Phimister had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tyrone Fairs. Tintagel City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Phimister was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. Charlie Graydon charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charlie Graydon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st match minute, Derby United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Graydon to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the game, Derby United's Johnny Coombe nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tyrone Fairs made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-2. When Johnny Coombe came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Derby United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johnny Coombe couldn't finish the play. Daniel Phimister blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyrone Fairs having to make a save. Tyrone Fairs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Coombe in the 85th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Tintagel City defense, Johnny Coombe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tyrone Fairs. The Tintagel City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tyrone Fairs should have stopped the shot. When Charlie Graydon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 87 minutes had been played. The supporters of Tintagel City booed when Derby United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Graydon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tintagel City's zone, Daniel Phimister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tyrone Fairs came out of the goal and Daniel Phimister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Phimister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyrone Fairs having to interfere. Derby United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
