In the 37th minute, Stephen Weir fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vic Johnston, passed just outside the right post. In the 44th minute, Tristram Wendon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vic Johnston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tristram Wendon, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Vic Johnston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stephen Weir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stephen Weir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kmaster FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tristram Wendon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Kmaster FC's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Fawcett came free, but Mike Rundle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
