Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Holmfirth's Stewart Byfield got a free kick in the 2nd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Holmfirth's goal looked a bit too open when Trey Griggs came free, but Beinn Little reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beinn Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Beech in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Callington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Clark to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the game, Rodney Perryman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Holmfirth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Callington the free kick. After 12 played minutes Holmfirth got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Perryman. A collision led to Holmfirth getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. John Paul York hit a great ball. Trey Griggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Beinn Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beinn Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Beech in the 16th minute of the match. When Callington's Nicholas Beech in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Holmfirth's goalie prevented a goal. Beinn Little showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trey Griggs, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Trey Griggs came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Callington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trey Griggs couldn't finish the play. Stewart Byfield hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Beinn Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trey Griggs in the 32nd minute of the match. Beinn Little stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicholas Beech's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Nicholas Beech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd match minute, Callington was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Clark to maneuver through the defense. Beinn Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trey Griggs in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Vance Lester made the kick off in the second half. Holmfirth's Beinn Little proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Holmfirth from getting a goal against them. If Trey Griggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trey Griggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Beinn Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicholas Beech got free with Beinn Little in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trey Griggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Beinn Little tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Nicholas Beech managed to get in a good position for a shot. Callington's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Beech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beinn Little breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes, Glyn Dickner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmfirth and the Callington players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Callington booed when Holmfirth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glyn Dickner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walter Frost hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Derek Charles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Paul York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beinn Little made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Nicholas Beech sent off a good shot on target. Trey Griggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beinn Little having to interfere. Callington's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
