Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joshua Wainwright started the match with the kick off. If Alex Butt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy Hedges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Rupert Blunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dean Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sammy Hedges recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moretonhampstead FC's Rupert Blunt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Moretonhampstead FC from getting a goal against them. Rupert Blunt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sammy Hedges in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute Silvester Perkins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rupert Blunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Moretonhampstead FC got a freekick which was hit by Stew McNiven. If Silvester Perkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rupert Blunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvester Perkins in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvester Perkins in the 47th minute of play forced Moretonhampstead FC's goalkeeper Rupert Blunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvester Perkins was the one to do the kick off. Alex Butt might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Billy Nelson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Butt ran back to his position shaking his head. Joshua Wainwright struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Billy Nelson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moretonhampstead FC. 56 minutes into the match, Joshua Wainwright had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Billy Nelson. Fiselistic FootballClub's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joshua Wainwright was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alex Butt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Alastair Love put in a rough tackle. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Moretonhampstead FC! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Fiselistic FootballClub. Rufus Elwick stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rupert Blunt. 1-1. Sammy Hedges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Rupert Blunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Moretonhampstead FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvester Perkins came free, but Rupert Blunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Butt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Billy Nelson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Tod Chandler sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Fiselistic FootballClub's Billy Nelson didn't even have to move. 89 minutes into the game, Silvester Perkins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Rupert Blunt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Silvester Perkins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Moretonhampstead FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Fiselistic FootballClub.
